ROTORDISK-1
 
8-inch diameter steel rotor disk for use in axial-flux permanent-magnet alternators. Designed to match up with our MAGSET-1 magnets and AFPMAS-1 stator.

For a minimal-cost, low-power alternator, use one rotor disk with one set of 16 magnets.

For more power, add a ROTORDISK-1TH on the other side of the stator. You need one of the rotor disks to have the threaded jack-screw holes, like ROTORDISK-1TH has, in order to assemble and disassemble the alternator without destroying things, because the magnets have enormous force.

The three holes surrounding the 1/2-inch keyed center hole are for fixing the rotor to a hub/rotor separator. The three holes may not be needed if shaft keys and collars are used to hold the rotors in place, but some sort of separator is needed for dual-rotor construction. If the hub/separator has a set screw or shaft key, the rotor/rotors can be fixed to the hub/separator with the 3 screw holes, and key slots on the rotor/rotors need not be used.
